Comments: I was originally assigned to HHC 1st Aviation Brigade, Long Bing, from about September 1971 to about January 1972, when I was assigned to HHC 145th CAB, at Plantation Air Field, as the company clerk. Then, as the battalion stood down, I prepared morning reports as departing battalion personnel were assigned to and then were administratively processed out of the battalion for PCS back to the states. I was one of the last members of HHC to process out and leave Vietnam in April 1972. God Bless all those who were assigned as air crews to all Army aviation units in Vietnam and either did not make it back alive or were scarred either mentally or physically while in country.
Comments: After 57 years, I was looking at a few slides I had taken in Vietnam. I came across one that was "Ellis Compound 145 AVN BN", went to the computer and here I am. I was assigned to COA 82nd AVN BN Bien Hoa, August '65 - August '66.
